How can different learning environments – school, university, and the professional world – interact to support educational practices capable of addressing the challenges posed by the 2030 Agenda? This paper contributes to the pedagogical discourse on the university’s missions, highlighting the integration of research, training, and third mission activities as a strategy to foster transversal skills and active citizenship among young people. Drawing on the experience of B-YOUth Forum – a participatory research lab at the University of Milano-Bicocca within the NRRP MUSA project (https://musascarl.it/) – it proposes a pedagogical facilitation model based on intergenerational and interdisciplinary dialogic processes. Departing from the logic of “learnification”, the model promotes the creation of a research community composed of youth aged 14-25, researchers from various disciplines, educators, interns, and civil service volunteers – conceived as a “community of education”. The university is thus envisioned as an open learning space, where education extends beyond the classroom, engages with diverse forms of knowledge, and embraces a responsible stance toward social complexity. The aim is to support the co-construction of knowledge that encourages young people to think critically and to cultivate a shared sense of responsibility.
Come possono dialogare i diversi ambiti dell’apprendimento – scolastico, universitario e professionale – per supportare pratiche formative capaci di affrontare le sfide educative evocate dall’Agenda 2030? Il presente lavoro si inserisce nella riflessione pedagogica sulle diverse missioni dell’università, valorizzando l’interazione tra ricerca, didattica e terza missione come strategia per sviluppare competenze trasversali e cittadinanza attiva per le/i giovani. A partire dall’esperienza di B-YOUth Forum, laboratorio di ricerca partecipativa dell’Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca parte del progetto PNRR MUSA (https://musascarl.it/), nel contributo si propone un modello di facilitazione pedagogica che si basa su processi dialogici intergenerazionali e interdisciplinari. Il modello, volendosi discostare da una prospettiva dell’apprendimento come processo di “learnification” si basa sulla costruzione una comunità di ricerca tra giovani fra 14-25 anni, ricercatori di discipline diverse, educatori, tirocinanti e giovani in servizio civile che si pensa e progetta come “comunità dell’educazione” L’università si configura così come uno spazio formativo aperto, in cui apprendere significa attraversare e oltrepassare i confini dell’aula, confrontarsi con saperi eterogenei e assumere una postura responsabile nei confronti della complessità sociale. Obiettivo del processo descritto è favorire la costruzione di saperi, che possano orientare le/i giovani alla rielaborazione critica e contribuire alla costruzione di un senso di responsabilità collettiva.
