Educational robotics activities represent today significant and engaging educational experiences. Considering the difficulty in measuring the levels of engagement perceived by users, the main purpose of this article is to try to develop and define a systematic observation instrument, to monitoring the levels of engagement perceived by users and check some of the most important dimensions that have a direct impact on it. Thanks to a methodological argument, the article presents a beta version of the instrument, adapted through some context-specific tests, in a first pilot study. The article ends proposing some methodological suggestions and opening up future research areas.

Abstract
Educational robotics activities represent today significant and engaging educational experiences. Considering the difficulty in measuring the levels of engagement perceived by users, the main purpose of this article is to try to develop and define a systematic observation instrument, to monitoring the levels of engagement perceived by users and check some of the most important dimensions that have a direct impact on it. Thanks to a methodological argument, the article presents a beta version of the instrument, adapted through some context-specific tests, in a first pilot study. The article ends proposing some methodological suggestions and opening up future research areas.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
