This is a methodological paper, where the author analyses a practice of educational qualitative research, experimented in different contexts of professional development, using auto/biography and creative writing as a method to investigate care, caring experiences, and the story of subjects who are involved in processes of care, as patients as well as carers. This method is effective not only for individual subjects, but for communities of practitioners, to develop new understandings and skills.
