Professionalization of psychology and university training for the psychological profession in Italy: Current status and future perspectives|PROFESSIONALIZZAZIONE DELLA PSICOLOGIA E FORMAZIONE UNIVERSITARIA ALLA PROFESSIONE PSICOLOGICA IN ITALIA: STATO E PROSPETTIVE DI UN PERCORSO

Recently in Italy, the Psychology degree has been assigned a mandate (Law 163/2021) for the qualifying function for the profession. The project is being implemented during the years 2023-2026. This contribution summarizes the results of three studies on the topic, focusing on the following objectives: a) exploration of the design that was developed to support the project’s implementation; b) observation of the project’s initial development by Psychology Departments during its launch phase (fall 2023); c) monitoring the state and evolution of psychological professions in Italy and implications for this new training project. A discussion of the results, aimed at anticipating the future developments of the project, follows their presentation.

Recentemente in Italia alla laurea magistrale in Psicologia è stata assegnato un mandato (L. 163/2021) per la funzione abilitante alla professione. Il progetto è in corso di attuazione negli anni 2023-2026. Questo contributo sintetizza i risultati di tre ricerche sul tema focalizzate sui seguenti obiettivi: a) esplorazione del design sviluppato a supporto dell’implementazione del progetto; b) osservatorio sullo sviluppo attuativo del progetto da parte dei Dipartimenti di Psicologia nel momento del suo avvio (autunno 2023), c) monitor sullo stato e sugli sviluppi delle professioni psicologiche in Italia e implicazioni per il nuovo progetto formativo. Una discussione dei risultati finalizzata a prefigurare gli sviluppi del progetto segue alla loro presentazione
