In modern philosophy the subject holds a central position. Through the intersection of Althusserian (of interpellation and ideology) and Lacanian (of the signifier as a subjectifying mark) categories, discourse analysis, particularly that of Michel Pêcheux, has produced one of the most original theories of the subject. This article aims to investigate the process of subjectification, commencing with the notion of préconstruit. More precisely, in a first step I will devote the analysis to the notion of presupposition that Oswald Ducrot elaborated in Dire et ne pas dire, emphasizing that semantic presuppositions should be regarded as type of illocutionary acts. In the second part of the investigation, I delve into the illocutionary nature of speech acts, examining Searle’s essay, A Taxonomy of Illocutionary Acts. Building upon Searle’s concept of adaptation vectors of words-to-world and world-to-words, I demonstrate how interpellation takes on a declarative form. These theoretical advancements enable me to formulate five theses regarding the subject.
