The manuscript details a high power amplifier (PA) design technique, based on time-domain large-signal measurements. In particular, large-signal input impedance matching has been carried out to ensure optimal power transfer under actual device operation. With the aim of demonstrating the validity of the proposed technique, a PA has been realized with a 20-mm GaN HEMT power bar. The measured performance of the PA perfectly matches the expected predictions based on large-signal measurements carried out on a 2-mm GaN elementary cell.

Abstract
The manuscript details a high power amplifier (PA) design technique, based on time-domain large-signal measurements. In particular, large-signal input impedance matching has been carried out to ensure optimal power transfer under actual device operation. With the aim of demonstrating the validity of the proposed technique, a PA has been realized with a 20-mm GaN HEMT power bar. The measured performance of the PA perfectly matches the expected predictions based on large-signal measurements carried out on a 2-mm GaN elementary cell.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
