This contribution intends to explore the use of the interview-conversation as a tool within a project designed to combat summer learning loss. The project, “Arcipelago Educativo Estate,” was coordinated on a national level by Save the Children and structured in a 12-week training program involving more than 500 children and teenagers from 11 Italian cities over the summer of 2021. The goal of the research is to exemplify the dual function of the interview-conversation; didactical as a learning support for the program participants and evaluative as an instrument to analyze the learning achieved by the participants. This qualitative study involved the conducting 112 inter-view-conversations, 56 with female participants and 56 with male partici-pants, between June and October of 2021. The data collected was subsequently subjected to thematic analysis. The results reveal the didactic versatility of the interview-conversation both as a tool for the assessment of learning and as a means to support the self-assessments made by the participants. The learnings most often perceived by the participants concern the sphere of social and relational skills and the sense of self-efficacy.

Il presente contributo si propone di approfondire lo strumento dell’intervista-colloquio all’interno di un progetto di contrasto al learning loss estivo. Tale progetto, denominato Arcipelago Educativo Estate, coordinato a livello nazionale da Save the Children, consiste in un programma formativo di 12 settimane a cui hanno partecipato nell’estate del 2021 più di 500 bambini e ragazzi di 11 città italiane. La ricerca condotta su tale progetto intende caratterizzare una duplice funzione dell’intervista colloquio: didattica, come sup-porto all’apprendimento dei beneficiari dell’intervento; valutativa, come strumento di analisi degli apprendimenti maturati dai beneficiari. Lo studio, di matrice qualitativa, ha previsto la conduzione e analisi di 112 interviste-colloqui a 56 ragazze e ragazzi partecipanti al progetto. Sui tali dati, raccolti tra Giugno 2021 e Ottobre 2021, è stata successivamente condotta un’analisi di tipo tematico. I risultati mostrano la versatilità didattica dell’intervista-colloquio sia come strumento di valutazione degli apprendimenti, sia come strategia didattica di supporto all’autovalutazione dei beneficiari. Gli apprendimenti maggiormente percepiti dai beneficiari riguardano la sfera delle competenze sociali e relazionali e il senso di auto-efficacia
