The essay analyzes the cinematographic representations of crime news cases. Spanning different temporal and geographical areas, the author tries to examine three essential points of the staging of fait divers. First of all, the relationship between cinema and literary fiction. The second aspect examined is the construction of the types of victims and killers. The last is dedicated to the representation of the theater of justice.
