There are many functions that, working at a second level of education, a professional can perform: coordination, complex planning, supervision, consultancy, training of trainers, evaluation, research. How to project an educational path to train solid competences in future professionals? For years the Master Degree Course in Advanced Educational Sciences of the University of Milano-Bicocca, also following the recent Italian legislative recognition of the educational professionals, has focused on the opportunity to train a research gaze, as a crucial skill, in order to use the educational experience as the basis for elaborating trajectories to answer to the problems of practice. The contribution will focus, in particular, on training a research gaze within the teaching of Counseling in Educational Discomfort: Theories and Practices.
