The polarized optical absorption spectra of different quaterthiophene single crystals are reported as measured in the temperature range from 140 K to 7 K. The effect of static and dynamic disorder is discussed as deduced from the spectral features when comparing different samples in terms of the measured lineshape and linewidth of the absorption peaks, and the relative lineshift and intensity ratio between the first exciton transition and its first vibronic replica.

Abstract
The polarized optical absorption spectra of different quaterthiophene single crystals are reported as measured in the temperature range from 140 K to 7 K. The effect of static and dynamic disorder is discussed as deduced from the spectral features when comparing different samples in terms of the measured lineshape and linewidth of the absorption peaks, and the relative lineshift and intensity ratio between the first exciton transition and its first vibronic replica.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
