Research and experience give evidence of the importance of analysing parental involvement as a product of the interrelationship between the perspectives and barriers of individuals and the philosophy and barriers of schools. This complexity become more evident when teachers and parents do not share a common cultural background or language, as in mode and more the case in many Eu countries. We will focus on data emerging from a recent research on these issues in Italy and Europe.
