The chapter presents the coding process realized within the international research project 'Children Crossing Borders. Children of Immigrants in Early Childhood Settings in Five Countries: A study of Parent and Staff Beliefs', as a first step in to the analysis of over 100 focus group interviews' transcripts. Methodological, cultural and communication challenges are synthetically described and interpreted as a collaborative and cross-cultural learning
