Femminismi e contro-femminismi? Un tentativo di riflessione a partire dal movimento americano Women Against Feminism

There continues to be very little research done on «antifeminism», which consequently remains a poorly understood phenomenon. A Tumblr called Women Against Feminism has been gaining attraction on social media and provoking a variety of responses. The campaign features women holding photos of themselves with text explaining why they don’t need feminism. There has been a strong reaction from feminists themselves, who say their ideas have been misunderstood. In this article, we discuss meaning and sense of WAF. We also try to interpret this generational short circuit, especially focussing on the Italian case.
