Abstract
Directive 2008/56/CE on Marine Strategy provides a framework for Community actions in order to achieve the objectives of good environmental status by 2020. The Directive was transposed in Italy by Legislative Decree. n.° 190/2010 which lists future actions to be implemented to achieve the fixed targets for each identified descriptor. Among these actions is included the definition of monitoring programs of specific parameters that may indicate the initial state of the various environmental components and the possible impacts resulting from human activities such as fishing, transport and also offshore exploitation of hydrocarbon. The purpose of this paper, realized by "Bicocca" University of Milan supporting the Directorate General for Mineral and Energy Resources in application of the Legislative Decree April 3rd, 2006 n°152 as modified by the art. 35 of the Legislative Decree June 22nd, 2012 n. 83 about the offshore safety, is to illustrate, on the base of the contents of the Marine Strategy Directive and the actions resulting from its transposition with Legislative Decree. n.° 190/2010, the implications on oil&gas sector in Italy. In fact, the monitoring programs provided by the Decree concerning more closely the Oil&Gas sector are those related to the analysis of environmental contaminants and the input of nutrients and the analysis of nutrient from atmospheric deposition within coastal and offshore area. This work also shows what is the current state of the procedures and controls carried out in accordance with environmental regulations (Legislative Decree of April 3th, 2006, n.° 152) on offshore oil activities as well as those specific for safety and health of workers (Legislative Decree. n.° 624/96 and Presidential Decree n.° 128/1959), presenting examples of analysis carried out by the laboratories of the National Mineral Office for Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Resources (UNMIG).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
