We live in a time of profound changes. The most dramatic ones are probably portrayed in the family sphere. Although the changes have been much greater in some countries than in others, they appear to be moving in a common direction. In general, the changes point to a high degree of diversification of the nuclear family; a more diverse and complex set of behaviours in terms of forming families, a greater degree of instability in such formations: marriage has become more unstable than in the past, leading to increases in relationship breakdown and divorce.

Abstract
We live in a time of profound changes. The most dramatic ones are probably portrayed in the family sphere. Although the changes have been much greater in some countries than in others, they appear to be moving in a common direction. In general, the changes point to a high degree of diversification of the nuclear family; a more diverse and complex set of behaviours in terms of forming families, a greater degree of instability in such formations: marriage has become more unstable than in the past, leading to increases in relationship breakdown and divorce.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
