A set of results related to the new particles searches in LHCb are reported. Upper limits on the cross section times branching fraction of neutral Higgs bos on decaying into two tau leptons have been set in the model independent search and in the Minimal Su persymmetric Model. The upper limit on their production cross section has been de termined for several combinations of parameters. A measurement of the cross section for the produ ction of b ̄ b and c ̄ c pairs based on in- clusive final states has been performed in a region of pseudor apidity 2.5 < η < 4.0 and transverse momentum p T > 5 GeV of the b hadron candidate, resulting in σ ( b ̄ b ) = 7.7 ± 0.12 (stat) ± 0.84 (syst) and σ ( c ̄ c ) = 104.6 ± 2.7 (stat) ± 11.4 (syst). Abstract
A set of results related to the new particles searches in LHCb are reported. Upper limits on the cross section times branching fraction of neutral Higgs bos on decaying into two tau leptons have been set in the model independent search and in the Minimal Su persymmetric Model. Many theo- retical models predict the existence of the Higgs bosons dec aying into heavy long-lived particles. The forward-central b ̄ b production asymme- try, based on the selection of high p T jet pairs tagged by the presence of a displaced muon with high momentum, has been determined to be A b ̄ b FC = (0.5 ± 0.5 (stat) ± 0.5 (syst))% and A b ̄ b FC ( M b ̄ b > 100 GeV) = (4.3 ± 1.7 (stat) ± 2.4 (syst))I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
