We illustrate a quantum-inspired solution to the following dictionary search problem: given as input a word from a prede fined natural language (for example, English), produce its translation to another predefined natural language (in our example, Romanian). In our solution, words are represented as vectors in an appropriate finite-dimensional Hilbert space. Such a simple representation opens up the possibility to solve several classes of problems from computational linguistics by quantum computations.

Abstract
We illustrate a quantum-inspired solution to the following dictionary search problem: given as input a word from a prede fined natural language (for example, English), produce its translation to another predefined natural language (in our example, Romanian). In our solution, words are represented as vectors in an appropriate finite-dimensional Hilbert space. Such a simple representation opens up the possibility to solve several classes of problems from computational linguistics by quantum computations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
