In Italy today ( the first decades of the millennium ) there is attention towards intercultural issues , even in the years of training of those who will become educators or teachers. The text proposes an exercise training hrough which the college student or the educator in training (or the young teacher ) may be exercised at the intercultural thought in education using the possibilities of music, memory, autobiography. Starting from listening and the use of a music CD, it is suggested to conduct an autobiographical interview (or more than one) to a foreign parent who is willing to work together to dialogue with a specific centering on family culture. The self training exercise aims to bring out new descriptions and new interpretations is based on music, memory and autobiography; intends to ignite interest and knowledge about family cultures of migrant students. The tools of self-training are: a music CD, the lyrics of the songs on the CD , a track to lead the autobiographical interview. We consider five texts of songs/ nursery rhymes. It is assumed that the autobiographical interview will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and memories , which allow to gradually translate the family cultures of students in categories that the teacher or the educator can recognize. The autobiographical interview is a form of mutual learning, a non-intrusive way through the lyrics of the songs / rhymes to get in touch , to develop a representation of some aspects of life and culture of the families. The interviewer should already have a basic training at the autobiographical method in pedagogy and conducting the interview autobiographical
