The book is a composition of texts from a range of italian pedagogists, from different regions and philosophies, who sustained a dialogue about the family, as a complex, stratified, multiple object, and a reflection on family pedagogy and fanily education, as fields of study where different paradigms are often used, and even contrasted, to make sense of that complexity. Each position is here presented, illustrating the author's ontological, epistemological, and methodological choices. However, a different metaphor is here proposed, i.e. from the paradigm to the sight, as a better way to frame and compose differences. The editor created a framework, with a long introductory chapter and a final reflexive, second level, chapter, to bring together these different sights, and try to overcome their differences through a notion of dialogical research.
