Per un Inquadramento Giuridico del Co-Housing

Co-housing, mutual aid cohabitation, or supportive cohabitation are terms used to summarise a trend that is enjoying renewed popularity as a way of addressing various phenomena, such as the housing crisis, poverty, property speculation, social disintegration, urbanisation, and the spread of new lifestyles and the reconfiguration of the family structures. As often happens in times of crisis, the praxis reworks familiar institutions or generates new ones to provide defensive economic strategies. However, co-housing boasts different configurations, structures and functions, which make its contours vague and its legal classification difficult. This essay is mainly dedicated to framing this phenomenology, with the aim of identifying the applicable discipline, outside of the isolated and fragmentary regulatory interventions dedicated to it, to allow the spread of the elective neighbourhood.
