The article aims to discuss the potentialities and limitations of the use of visual materials as a research method in education, deepening the ethnographic use of movie edited as reactive, in order to solicit dialogues' processes and plural interpretations that might involve the research's participants. What the eassy means is that this particular use of the filmic text has characteristics of being persuasive and representative according to the studied themese. Those caracteristics make it very interesting as a method for enlarging educational understanding of phenomena and as formative approach as well. The article underlying the methodological perspectives of visual ethnography, of the use of the video-method as a stimuli to access other people meanings and the possibilities linked to this use within empirical researches in education.
