Professor Maria Clotilde Giuliani was one of the protagonists of the PhD course in Geographic-environmental and Cartographic Sciences, active at the Institute of Geography of the University of Genoa from 1986 to 2002. This course awarded the title of Doctor to twenty-three students, nine of whom are now themselves geography professors in Italian universities and the others established professionals in the field of land management.
