Abstract
Medical humanities is a flourishing academic field where humanities and social sciences try to complement the efforts of medical and healthcare scholars and professionals in understanding and improving healthcare delivery and its outcomes from the viewpoint of patients and professionals alike. Originating in the USA, the medical humanities landed in Europe with a few decades of delay. At that point, we observed the emergence and the academic recognition of the history of medicine, medical sociology, and medical ethics (Bleakley, 2019; Cole, Carlin & Carson, 2015; Evans & Finlay, 2001; Jones, Wear & Friedman 2014).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
