Mediterranean marine ecosystems have been degrading at a pace and scale at which conservation measures alone are insufficient to halt the loss of biodiversity. Within this context, the MEDiverSEAty project aims to explore the diverse relationships between human populations and marine biodiversity in the Mediterranean, by looking at: “What are the different human dimensions in the protection and conservation of Mediterranean marine biodiversity?”. Profoundly interdisciplinary, this side-event will provide an interactive dialogue, showcasing different interlocking human dimensions of marine ecosystems, while providing clues towards supporting integrated policy-making for the protection of marine life and fostering of ocean literacy. Speakers will include young researchers, coming from a diverse disciplinary backgrounds, including marine biology, philosophy, policy, island studies, gender studies and more.

Abstract
Speakers will include young researchers, coming from a diverse disciplinary backgrounds, including marine biology, philosophy, policy, island studies, gender studies and more.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
