Judgment 64/2025 of the Constitutional Court completed a longstanding and consistent jurisprudential framework, placing at the center of the functioning of regional representative democracy the legislative fun-damental principle of the prohibition of a third mandate. In doing so, it annulled the provision of the Cam-pania Region, which in 2024 attempted to circumvent this basic rule of representativity.
