Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is the most common chronic rheumatic disease in children and is an important cause of short-term and long-term disability. The International League of Associations for Rheumatology has defined JIA as arthritis with no apparent cause lasting more than 6 weeks with disease onset prior to age 16. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the assessment of parent- and child-reported outcomes (PCROs) in pediatric rheumatic diseases. A number of tools for the assessment of PCROs in children with JIA are available, including visual analog scales (VAS) for rating of a child’s overall well-being and intensity of pain, and questionnaires for the evaluation of functional ability and health-related quality of life (HRQOL). This chapter describes the most recent and widely used PCROs for the management of children with JIA.

Abstract
This chapter describes the most recent and widely used PCROs for the management of children with JIA.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
