The European policy on disinformation has changed in the last years. From a self-regulatory approach, the Union has moved towards a comprehensive strategy to address disinformation. The Digital Services Act and the Strengthened Code of Practice on Disinformation are particular examples of this transformation. However, the European approach still faces important challenges in the implementation phase. This work aims to address the evolution of the European policy on disinformation, particularly looking at the Strengthened Code of Practice on Disinformation.

Abstract
The European policy on disinformation has changed in the last years. From a self-regulatory approach, the Union has moved towards a comprehensive strategy to address disinformation. The Digital Services Act and the Strengthened Code of Practice on Disinformation are particular examples of this transformation. However, the European approach still faces important challenges in the implementation phase. This work aims to address the evolution of the European policy on disinformation, particularly looking at the Strengthened Code of Practice on Disinformation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
