This paper attempts to briefly draw some constitutional parallels between environmental protection and the right to food. In Italy, constitutional laws 1/2022 and 2/2022 integrate the protection of the environment, biodiversity, and ecosystems, which are also in the interest of future generations, into the fundamental principles. The need for such an amendment is questionable, as environmental protection has been recognised as a constitutional value for many years through established legal precedents. Recently, food and the right to food access have been playing a leading role in the political-constitutional debate. This paper aims to question the appropriateness of including this right in the Italian Constitution. The path taken for the protection of the environment could ead to some benefits for the right to food, or it could just be another constitutional revision without any concrete effects. In fact, the contents of the right to food, like that of the environment, can be traced back to constitutional principles already affirmed in the Italian Constitution.

Abstract
In fact, the contents of the right to food, like that of the environment, can be traced back to constitutional principles already affirmed in the Italian Constitution.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
