Thalamic DBS for Tourette's Syndrome has recently been proposed. Few cases are reported in the literature. We present the case of a 42 year-old patient harbouring this syndrome who underwent DBS for an otherwise incurable disease. The Centromedian-Parafascicular complex of the Thalamus and the Substantia Periventricularis were targeted. After microregistration, 2 electrodes were implanted for each side. In the post-operative period, the efficacy of each couple of electrodes (medial vs. lateral) was evaluated and it was decided to connect the lateral couple of leads to two pulse generators. Six months follow-up and technical details are presented.
