We report the case of a neurologically normal 16 month old child, who presented with seizures after sedation with a therapeutic dose of chloral hydrate, administered before performing computerized tomography scan. Awareness of the rare adverse effect of this drug is important given its very frequent use in neonatal and pediatric patients.
