Today genetics offers new opportunities to widen the range of freedom and rights for human beings, which have long been escaped from the real opportunities for human intervention. In this paper, I will deal about predictive genetic testing and the position of the so-called subjects “ third parties”, starting from a clinical case presented to the Ethics Committee of a hospital in Florence, in 2004. It will make a critical examination of the rules, ethical and legal, for the case study and, in particular, the implications of the principle of justice in Bioethics

Abstract
Today genetics offers new opportunities to widen the range of freedom and rights for human beings, which have long been escaped from the real opportunities for human intervention. In this paper, I will deal about predictive genetic testing and the position of the so-called subjects “ third parties”, starting from a clinical case presented to the Ethics Committee of a hospital in Florence, in 2004. It will make a critical examination of the rules, ethical and legal, for the case study and, in particular, the implications of the principle of justice in BioethicsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
