The production of b jets in association with a Z/gamma* boson is studied using proton-proton collisions delivered by the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 7TeV and recorded by the CMS detector. The inclusive cross section for Z/gamma* + b-jet production is measured in a sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.2 fb(-1). The Z/gamma* + b-jet cross section with Z/gamma* -> ll (where ll = ee or mu mu) for events with the invariant mass 60 < M-ll < 120 GeV, at least one b jet at the hadron level with p(T) > 25 GeV and vertical bar eta vertical bar < 2.1, and a separation between the leptons and the jets of Delta R > 0.5 is found to be 5.84 +/- 0.08 (stat.) +/- 0.72 (syst.)(-0.55)(+0.25) (theory) pb. The kinematic properties of the events are also studied and found to be in agreement with the predictions made by the MADGRAPH event generator with the parton shower and the hadronisation performed by PYTHIA.

Abstract
The production of b jets in association with a Z/gamma* boson is studied using proton-proton collisions delivered by the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 7TeV and recorded by the CMS detector. The inclusive cross section for Z/gamma* + b-jet production is measured in a sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.2 fb(-1). The Z/gamma* + b-jet cross section with Z/gamma* -> ll (where ll = ee or mu mu) for events with the invariant mass 60 < M-ll < 120 GeV, at least one b jet at the hadron level with p(T) > 25 GeV and vertical bar eta vertical bar < 2.1, and a separation between the leptons and the jets of Delta R > 0.5 is found to be 5.84 +/- 0.08 (stat.) +/- 0.72 (syst.)(-0.55)(+0.25) (theory) pb. The kinematic properties of the events are also studied and found to be in agreement with the predictions made by the MADGRAPH event generator with the parton shower and the hadronisation performed by PYTHIA.

Il report seguente simula gli indicatori relativi alla propria produzione scientifica in relazione alle soglie ASN 2023-2025 del proprio SC/SSD. La simulazione si basa sui dati IRIS e sugli indicatori bibliometrici alla data indicata e non tiene conto di eventuali periodi di congedo obbligatorio, che in sede di domanda ASN danno diritto a incrementi percentuali dei valori. La simulazione può differire dall'esito di un’eventuale domanda ASN sia per errori di catalogazione e/o dati mancanti in IRIS, sia per la variabilità dei dati bibliometrici nel tempo. Si consideri che Anvur calcola i valori degli indicatori all'ultima data utile per la presentazione delle domande. La presente simulazione è stata realizzata sulla base delle specifiche raccolte sul tavolo ER del Focus Group IRIS coordinato dall’Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia e delle regole riportate nel DM 598/2018 e allegata Tabella A. Cineca, l’Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia e il Focus Group IRIS non si assumono alcuna responsabilità in merito all’uso che il diretto interessato o terzi faranno della simulazione. Si specifica inoltre che la simulazione contiene calcoli effettuati con dati e algoritmi di pubblico dominio e deve quindi essere considerata come un mero ausilio al calcolo svolgibile manualmente o con strumenti equivalenti.
