In a previous article the author (Flebus, 2002) presented the construction of a questionnaire with factor analysis, whose aim is to measure the main characteristics of family environment: partner’s need of independence, maturity of the children, agreeableness, extraversion and likeableness of the child, attachment to the partner-spouse and other features. The questionnaire was filled out by 507 parents who have a child in school age, whose answers allowed factor validation of the questionnaire. This piece of research presents the findings of concurrent validation of the same questionnaire, and documents the analysis of group differences within parents: 1) mothers versus fathers, 2) different age, 3) levels of education. By relying on statistical control of these variables, other differences are also presented: 4) religious practice, 5) number of children, 6) marital status and 7) separation-divorce of one’s parents. The differences in the answers between varying degrees of interest for the questionnaire are also discussed.
