In recent months, the media debate about so-called cultured meat has en-tered the generalist media in Italy. The issue seems to be of great interest not only to the public, but also to Italian politics. What is interesting for the sociology of law is the fact that the large-scale production and retail of this product are still far from being achieved. In addition, researchers have not yet been able to develop a product with an acceptable taste and, above all, at a sustainable cost.

Abstract

In recent months, the media debate about so-called cultured meat has en-tered the generalist media in Italy. The issue seems to be of great interest not only to the public, but also to Italian politics.
