In this paper we are investigating how 'coopetition' (Brandenburger et Nalebuff, 1996) (Dagnino et Padula, 2002) can improve information based services by fostering knowledge sharing while safeguarding both competitive interests and objectives. Our investigation exploits a case study concerning the job marketplace intermediation services, such a topic is getting more and more important since it has several implications on social themes. The case study presented describes the Borsa Lavoro project (Borsa Lavoro Lombardia, 2004), whose goal is to create a job e-marketplace in the Lombardy region. The results, up to now, seem to be a little disappointing with respect to the expectations, the aim of the paper is to understand the reasons of this phenomenon.

Abstract
In this paper we are investigating how 'coopetition' (Brandenburger et Nalebuff, 1996) (Dagnino et Padula, 2002) can improve information based services by fostering knowledge sharing while safeguarding both competitive interests and objectives. Our investigation exploits a case study concerning the job marketplace intermediation services, such a topic is getting more and more important since it has several implications on social themes. The case study presented describes the Borsa Lavoro project (Borsa Lavoro Lombardia, 2004), whose goal is to create a job e-marketplace in the Lombardy region. The results, up to now, seem to be a little disappointing with respect to the expectations, the aim of the paper is to understand the reasons of this phenomenon.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
