Poverty

Upon returning from long journeys into the heart of darkness, it becomes imperative to question my role as a psychotherapist, a white Western male in my daily work. The unfinished experience, which I hope will still accompany many years of reflection and rethinking of my work, has become a call to take risks and responsibility in my roles as a clinician, researcher, academic, teacher, and mentor. These reflections, born in remote, extraordinary poor contexts, are reinterpreted in everyday life in my context of belonging and living.
