The paper tries to show that there is no criticsm of science as such in Husserl's phenomenology. There is instead a strong criticism addressed to a philosophy of science that renounce to a deeper understanding of the roots of scientifical knowledge in our perceptual experience and praxis. Such an undesrstanig is then shown to be a pre-condition to identify the proper role that science e tecnology should play in contemporary society.

Abstract

The paper tries to show that there is no criticsm of science as such in Husserl's phenomenology. There is instead a strong criticism addressed to a philosophy of science that renounce to a deeper understanding of the roots of scientifical knowledge in our perceptual experience and praxis. Such an undesrstanig is then shown to be a pre-condition to identify the proper role that science e tecnology should play in contemporary society.
