Maxillo-facial surgery in adult patients affected by OSAS. In this paper, the Authors highlight the efficacy of maxillo-mandibular advancement in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS). After describing the evolution of the surgical technique, they provide a detailed description of their own approach. They also believe it is the most reliable approach to patients with severe OSAS who have specific clinical and cephalometric characteristics because it is capable of resolving both subjective and objective symptoms in almost 100% of cases.
