Today genetics offers new opportunities to widen the range of freedom and rights fors human beings. In this paper, I deal with predective genetic testing and the position for the subjects termed "third parties", starting from a 2004 clinical case reviewed by the Ethics Committee of a hospital in Florence. I will focus on a critical analysis of the ethical and legal rules concerning this case study, and in particular on the implications of the principle of jusitce in Bioethics.
