Potenziamento umano: sfide e prospettive per il futuro

In recent years, technological development has fuelled a strong debate about the proposals for human enhancement. In this article, we will try to offer a comprehensive problematisation of some of these proposals, showing both technical and ethical problems. After describing some of the scenarios that new technologies open for the future, we will try to show, through the presentation of the work of European institutions, a way of regulating technology that allows us to strike a balance between the many stakeholders involved.

Lo sviluppo tecnologico ha alimentato negli ultimi anni un vivace dibattito relativo alle proposte di potenziamento umano. In questo articolo, cercheremo di offrire una problematizzazione completa di alcune di queste proposte, mostrando sia problemi tecnici sia problemi etici. Dopo aver descritto alcuni degli scenari che le nuove tecnologie aprono per il futuro, cercheremo di mostrare, tramite la presentazione del lavoro delle istituzioni europee, una modalità di regolamentazione tecnologica che ci permetta di trovare un punto d’equilibrio tra i numerosi portatori di interesse coinvolti.
