Integrating tools in a complex plugin ecosystem eases software development as it allows to reuse functionalities available in the ecosystem. On the other hand, the plugin developer must take care of not relying on assumptions on environment behaviors and policies that may change with platform evolution. Based on our experience with developing MARPLE, an Eclipse plugin for software comprehension and architecture reconstruction, we propose an extension for code smells detection.

Abstract
Integrating tools in a complex plugin ecosystem eases software development as it allows to reuse functionalities available in the ecosystem. On the other hand, the plugin developer must take care of not relying on assumptions on environment behaviors and policies that may change with platform evolution. Based on our experience with developing MARPLE, an Eclipse plugin for software comprehension and architecture reconstruction, we propose an extension for code smells detection.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
