Business Writing Skills has been written for students who need to understand and produce business communication. It has been specifically designed to meet the practical needs of students who are about to enter an international working environment and although it can be used alone as a business writing skills¿ course it can also provide an essential accompaniment to other ESP language courses, such as business reading skills and business communication. Much business writing is formulaic and so the book has been organised to provide current authentic examples of business communication format and then provides exercises which guide students from the micro skills of, for example, lexical choice, to the macro skills of actual letter, fax and e-mail composition. The ten units in the book cover the most essential aspects of written business communication; unit 2 presents and practises ¿Faxes and E-mails¿, unit 5 ¿Applying for a Job 2: Letter of Application¿ and unit 9 ¿Letters of Complaint¿. The focus in all ten units is on presenting clear, current and realistic examples of business communication and then providing exercises to guide students in their own creation of written business communication, based on the models presented
