Authors report their experience according to the mental nerve rigeneration in the rat in terms of loss of substance. Different primary microsurgical repair tecniques have been compared among which the substitution of the loss segment through sensitive and mixed autogenous graft have been displayed. Gross sensory return was estabilished with neurophysiology, histochesmistry, and histology. Results have shown a quicker return of recovery of gross sensation in the group treated with sensitive auto graft, which has but presented a greater number of subjects whith long-term hypersthesia than the group treated whith mixed nerve graft.
