The article examines some cases of "frozen" expressions which originated new words and morphemes in Berber. The following cases are shown: 1) the possible origin of a directional preposition ("towards") from a fossilized form of the verb "come (to)"; 2) new forms of affixed pronouns when they are prefixed; 3) a negative participle which has become a noun/adjective (a unique case in Berber); 4) a new pronoun in Zuara Berber (Libya); 5) incorporation of a directive particle within two verbs in Zuara end elsewhere.
