Abstract
The disaster of the platform Deepwater Horizon (Gulf of Mexico, 2010) had important consequences on the Italian legislation on the exploitation of mineral resources at sea. It now prohibits activities within 5 n.m. from the baselines of the terriotorial sea and, in case of marine protected areas, within 12 n.m. from their external limits. In October 2011 the European Commission presented a proposal for a regulation on safety of offshore oil and gas prospection, exploration and production activities. © Copyright Giuffrè 2012.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
