The conductivity of composite LiI/Al//2O//3 type ionic conductors is investigated from the point of view of percolation theory. The authors construct a network model which takes into account both the blocking of charge carriers by the insulating dispersant particles and conductivity enhancement along the internal interface. The overall conductivity is calculated by Monte Carlo simulations. Its dependence on composition p, which is governed by the presence of two threshold concentrations p//c prime and p//c double prime , is in good qualitative agreement with experiment.

Abstract
The conductivity of composite LiI/Al//2O//3 type ionic conductors is investigated from the point of view of percolation theory. The authors construct a network model which takes into account both the blocking of charge carriers by the insulating dispersant particles and conductivity enhancement along the internal interface. The overall conductivity is calculated by Monte Carlo simulations. Its dependence on composition p, which is governed by the presence of two threshold concentrations p//c prime and p//c double prime , is in good qualitative agreement with experiment.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
