Abstract
With the second generation the immigration becomes a factor of encounter and conflict within the families of origin, Romania in particular, and outside with the local society. The migration of families involves sacrifices to parents, but also to children struggling with the inclusion in a school system and of new relationships. The autobiographical testimonies collected reveal experiences of suffering related also to the school and the right to education. Some Romanian parents have expressed to teachers that these difficulties would preclude to their children the opportunity to continue the educational process beyond the school. The family (both parents and children or, often, single-parent) begins a journey that does not end with the establishment of housing conditions and the eventual reunification of the nucleus, but continues throughout the cycle of family life. The testimonies of some two cultural mediators address to propose some significant hubs of the system should take into account social and school to ensure the right to education: the birth (or reunification)of the children, the impact to the world of school, 'adolescence.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
