Stopping imaginaries and practices of violence. Towards the transformative power of continuing education and learning processes

The unveiling of the social but hidden phenomenon of domestic violence, the effectiveness of international conventions, the application of domestic legislations, the systematic collection of empirical data, a new public sensitivity, which allows victims to speak freely and without shame about the abuse they suffered over time, provisions for the safeguard of abused minors or children witnesses of violence, all these issues motivate a more complex under-standing of the phenomenon and at the same time the ambivalences of interpersonal relationships.
