The paper presents SER (Sistema Esperto RAID), the knowledge-based module of an indoor air quality monitoring and control system dedicated to historical buildings. SER will be described in terms of design motivations, involved knowledge, knowledge base architecture and integration strategy. The SER module exploits quantitative data acquired by wireless networked sensing devices and qualitative domain knowledge in order to identify pollutant sources when anomalous air conditions are detected. Moreover, according to SER knowledge based computation, possible paths followed by detected pollutants are traced and suggestions on how to control pollutant flow are provided. The integration of SER module into the monitoring and control system has been developed exploiting Kaleidoscope architecture: a reference architecture for this kind of systems, whose main objective is providing an easy integration of heterogeneous applications and devices.

Abstract
The integration of SER module into the monitoring and control system has been developed exploiting Kaleidoscope architecture: a reference architecture for this kind of systems, whose main objective is providing an easy integration of heterogeneous applications and devices.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
