After some considerations useful to highlight the relevance of the analysis realized by Fornero in his last book, the author proposes some critical remarks about the understanding of the refusal of life saving treatments as rooted in the right to die. Moreover, she argues for a justification of the right to the assisted death based on the right of each ill person to be relieved from suffering, as well as on the right to selfdetermination.
